Five sentences that get a yes.


Your list is built. Now you write the ask.

The version that gets deleted, fast:

"Hi [name], huge fan of your work. Would love to have you on the show — I think my audience would learn a lot from your story. Let me know if you're open!"

Every busy person reads three of those a week. Most never reply.

The version that gets a yes does three things in about five sentences.

It names something specific they said or shipped recently. Not their bio — a thing. "Your post last week about the price change you regretted — that's the conversation I want to have."

It connects that specific thing to the angle of the show. "Most founders freeze on price increases when bookings are uneven. Your version of that story is the unlock for the people I talk to."

It tells them what they're signing up for, honestly. "60 minutes. Audio + video. I edit, you don't. You get clean files and a few short clips to share if you want them."

Then it cuts the close. Don't say "let me know your thoughts" — say "worth a conversation?" Make the response one word.

Skip the platform stats.

Skip the name-drops.

The right people don't care about your download numbers — they care whether the hour will be worth their time. The whole email should read like you've actually read their work.
