I had a revelation this morning while sipping my coffee and writing today's LinkedIn post. I freakin' LOVE my sponsors! When I first launched Podcast Junkies way back in 2014, my mantra was: "Treat your guests like gold". I always wanted to make sure they had the best experience both before, during, and after the show, period. With my second show, Vertical Farming Podcast, given that the objective was to create a show that was sponsorship-driven from day one, I quickly realized my new mantra was: "Treat your sponsors like gold". And that's why since 2020, I've always bent over backwards to make sure every sponsor that we've secured gets the red carpet treatment. Whether that's me mentioning it on my socials, name dropping them during an onstage presentation, or tagging them on every episode, I always want to make sure I'm showing that I value them as a partner, not just a paying sponsor. You see, the thing is, sponsors aren't just revenue sources—they're partners in your vision. It's the foundation of everything we've built. And let me tell you—it works. This approach has allowed us to expand from one show to an entire network.
